We are seeking a results-oriented Global Program Manager to lead the introduction and growth of our groundbreaking Proxxima thermoset resin in the high-performance industrial coatings industry. This position is ideal for a strategic leader with deep expertise in material technologies and applications and a strong background in program management — ideally with over 10 years of experience launching new solutions into complex global value chains.
In this role, you will be accountable for identifying high-impact opportunities in coating applications across segments including corrosion protection, equipment protection and marine, crafting effective go-to-market strategies, and most critically, initiating and managing cross-functional programs that drive commercialization from concept to revenue.
Success demands a disciplined and proactive approach to program leadership, strong collaboration across technical, commercial, and operational teams, and a proven ability to deliver programs that result in meaningful, scalable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Market and Competitive Analysis
o Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies.
o Analyze industry data and market intelligence to inform product decisions.
Product Vision and Roadmap Development
o Support the definition of the long-term product vision and strategy.
o Develop and maintain a product/application roadmap aligned with business goals and market opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration
o Partner with product managers, technology and sales teams to guide product development.
o Communicate strategic goals across teams to ensure alignment.
o Partner with other ExxonMobil stakeholders (manufacturing plants, capital projects) to trial new formulations, generating data and case studies to support our customers marketing endeavors.
Customer and Stakeholder Engagement
o Gather and synthesize feedback from customers, users, and internal stakeholders.
o Translate insights into strategic initiatives and product improvements.
o Collaborate with formulators, applications, EPC’s, asset owners and standards organizations to drive adoption of new formulations containing Proxxima resin systems.
Go-to-Market Strategy Support
o Craft product launch activities, including market segmentation, channel planning, and marketing collateral preparation.
o Build case studies, program learnings, and market feedback for internal use.
KPI Definition and Tracking
o Establish and monitor key product and business performance metrics.
o Use data to refine strategy and improve product outcomes.
Innovation and Trend Spotting
o Stay informed on emerging technologies and market disruptions.
o Identify opportunities for innovation or differentiation in the product portfolio.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
10-15 Years of Experience in Industrial Coatings - Proven track record in business development, product strategy, or commercialization within advanced coatings —ideally with knowledge of reactive chemistries such as epoxies, polyurethanes.
Strong Program Management Expertise - Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional programs from concept through commercialization, coordinating technical, commercial, and operational teams to achieve business goals.
Deep Market Knowledge in High Performance Coatings - In-depth understanding of the sectors, particularly value drivers for formulators, applicators, EPC’s and asset owners. Familiarity with standards, sustainability, and regulatory drivers is a plus.
Established Industry Network - Existing relationships with key stakeholders across the global coatings value chain, including Tier 1/2 formulators, and supply chain partners.
Strategic and Analytical Thinking - Strong capability to identify market opportunities, assess competitive landscapes and develop actionable go-to-market strategies.
Excellent Communication and Leadership Skills - Ability to influence and align and excite diverse internal and external stakeholders, including executives, engineers, and commercial teams.
Technical and Commercial Acumen - A balanced understanding of both material science fundamentals and business drivers, enabling effective translation of technical benefits into commercial value propositions.
Key Competencies:
Strong track record achieving new market growth, through effective program management
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English to support global collaboration
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly
Comfortable leading discussions on both technical and commercial topics
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
